Positive Mental Health Performance at Brock High School

December 14, 2018

Brock High School is hosting Grade 8 elementary school students (from McCaskills Mills PS, Beaverton PS, Sunderland PS, and Thorah Central PS) and staff for a school info session/tour. The Grade 8 students will be participating in the Positive Mental Health performance.

This is a student-run, student-voice initiative in support of Positive Mental Health at Brock HS. Six students will demonstrate performance skills that help them to overcome stress, anxiety and depression in their everyday lives. Their goal is to inspire students, staff, and the visiting Grade 8 students so that they can leverage their own "skills" to reinforce their personal positive mental health.

The event will also feature special presentations from Olympian and Pan American athlete Jessica Phoenix and author Julie Fitz-Gerald. They will discuss resilience and perseverance in the face of injury, stress, anxiety, and depression.

We invite you to join us for this Positive Mental Health presentation.
