Accommodation Review

What is an Accommodation Review?

An accommodation review is a Ministry of Education mandated process that allows School Boards across Ontario to address the shifts in school enrolments and ensure that funding is focused on students in the classroom.

When the Durham District School Board is considering the closure and consolidation of a school(s) an accommodation review provides for a detailed community consultation process involving parents and the public.

The accommodation review process is in accordance with the
DDSB’s Policy and Procedure #7113: Pupil Accommodation Review based upon the Ministry of Education Pupil Accommodation Review Guideline,
March 2015
.

Accommodation reviews completed prior to March 2016 were carried out under prior accommodation review policy and procedure.
